# Procrastinator's Guide to Halloween Costumes

We’ve all been there: Halloween night, every piece of clothing on the floor and all hope lost, drawing whiskers on your face to be a cat for the fourth year in a row. You’re internally preparing yourself to be called basic throughout the night. Have no fear, fellow procrastinators! Fourteenth Street is here to turn your Halloween blues to orange with a multitude of costume ideas. All can be thrown together in under half an hour, created in the comfort of your own home and stick to the budget of a college student.Disclaimer: our costumes are meant to be last minute, and we are aware of the limits this can have on a Halloween costume. Fourteenth Street is not responsible for any comments you may receive on the creativity (or lack thereof) of your costume. 1. Be your own hors d’oeuvre and dress up as a Pineapple. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143649/Betty-Boop-211x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/betty-boop/)

  2. Add some glamour to that red dress in the back of your closet and be Betty Boop. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143701/Fox-172x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/fox/)

  3. If you’re a Foxy Lady, let your true colors shine through. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143715/Mime-228x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/mime/)

  4. Got a sore throat? No problem! Go as a Mime and no one needs you to talk. 5. In case you’re the person that shows up to the party looking for a corner with a book, turn it into a costume and go as Alice in Wonderland. 6. Take your feminist rants to the next level with Rosie the Riveter. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143707/French-Kiss-208x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/french-kiss/)

  7. A French Kiss (because who doesn’t love a good pun?). [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143730/Snow-White-188x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/snow-white/)

  8. There is no princess like Snow White. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143655/Flapper-172x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/flapper/)

  9. If you’re a lover of all things vintage, any shift dress will do for a 20s Flapper. 10. Not a fan of color? Go as Wednesday Addams and no one will expect you to smile, either. 11. If all else fails, grab a graphic tee, constellation socks and a defense of choice and go as Star Wars. [![](https://kleinsites-media.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/94/2016/10/15143751/IMG_6900_edited-206x300.jpg)](https://14thstreetmagazine.com/2016/10/28/procrastinators-guide-to-halloween-costumes/img_6900_edited/)

  12. And, one for the boys. Throw together every item of clothing you own with an American flag design and go full-on Uncle Sam.
